Abstract:
PURPOSE: To convert the High Vision signal of the MUSE system into the NTSC system by changing the coefficient for linear interpolation of plural lines for a predetermined line period in a vertical scanning line conversion circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A signal corresponding to 1035 lines subject to signal processing such as de-emphasis and 2-dimension interpolation at an input signal processing circuit 31 is inputted to a vertical scanning conversion circuit 32. The start of a line converted at a timing signal generating circuit, that is, a signal representing start of video data is inputted to a line period generating circuit 34. The line period generating circuit 34 outputs signals from 1 to 15 by 15-line period to a repetitive coefficient generating circuit 33. The coefficient generating circuit 33 outputs a coefficient from 1/7 to 1 (including 0) to a variable coefficient device, which multiplies the signal subject to input processing and a signal delayed by line with the coefficient. Thus,the vertical scanning conversion circuit 32 converts 15 scanning lines into 7 scanning lines.
