PURPOSE: To output music at a tempo or with a rhythm based upon the motion of the body of a user.

CONSTITUTION: The music output device is provided with a detecting element 1 which detects the motion of the user, a melody generating means 5 which is triggered with the detection output of the detecting element 1, and an acoustic unit such as a speaker and an earphone which is supplied with the audio signal S5 outputted by the melody generating means 5. The melody generating means 5 is provided with a memory element in which data on music to be reproduced as a melody are previously written and a memory control circuit which outputs the data on the music in the memory element as the audio signal S5 note by note, in order in response to each detection output. The music is outputted from the acoustic unit 8 with the rhythm or at the tempo based upon the motion of the user.
