Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which enables even a user with a low singing level to retrieve a desired musical piece on the basis of voice input.SOLUTION: A musical piece retrieval system comprises a specification unit, a decision unit, a storage unit, a determination unit, a replacement unit and a retrieval unit. The specification unit compares melody data of a singer with reference data of a musical piece to specify whether there is an out-of-tune pattern in the melody pattern. In the case where a predetermined number or more of out-of-tune patterns exist, the decision unit determines the pattern as a weak pattern. The storage unit stores the weak pattern in association with a pattern of reference data corresponding to the weak pattern. The determination unit determines whether or not the weak pattern is included in voice data inputted by the singer. The replacement unit replaces a portion corresponding to the weak pattern of the voice data with the corresponding pattern of reference data. The retrieval unit retrieves a musical piece on the basis of the replaced voice data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
