This music sheet switching apparatus 1 comprises a timing discriminator 12 for discriminating whether it is a music paging timing or not based on MIDI data input from an input terminal MIDI IN, and a paging mechanism 13 for paging the music surface set to a music base. When the performance is proceeded, the MIDI data for accompaniment is input from a sequencer 21 and the discriminator 12 detects the message for representing the timing of paging the music in the MIDI data, the mechanism 13 rotates an arm to execute the paging of the music. Thus, since the display of the music surface is automatically switched at a suitable timing, a player eliminates the paging of the music during the performance, and can concentrate on the performance.
