PURPOSE: To give a music stand attaining a stable and accurate motion by providing guide members at both sides of a supporting member that allow the right path motion to synchronize with the left path motion to smooth a standing operation and that form a perfect closed loop.

CONSTITUTION: The music stand supporting structure consists of a music stand fixed on top plate 2 of a musical instrument, supporting member 10 fixed to the back of the music stand, sliding part 11 projected at both sides of the end of the supporting member, and resin molded guide members that have closed loop guide groove 9 which guides sliding part 11. The guide members are embedded in top plate 2, and guide groove 9 has first stopper 25 with which sliding part 11 is contacted when moving forward, first drop portion 26 below first stopper 25, second stopper 27 placed in front of first drop portion 26, and second drop portion 28 below second stopper 27. Standing path 29 and irreversible system 17 are provided at the rear of second drop portion 28.
