Title:
MUSICAL SOUND GENERATING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3637578
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make inputs not affect the number of sound generations in a waveform processing even when MIDI(musical instrument digital interface) inputs are concentrated.
SOLUTION: An envelope waveform generating processing and a sound source driver processing corresponding to concentratedly inputted MIDI inputs M1 to M3 are dispersedly performed in processings of seven times of processings (a) to (g) and generated envelope waveform data and generated sound source parameters are respectively stored in a buffer memory and a P buffer (sound source parameter area). Then, it becomes a sound generating timing, musical sound waveforms are generated as the result of a waveform generating processing B based on the sound source parameters being in the P buffer and a volume control or the like are performed by the generated envelope waveform data. Since the envelope waveform generating processing and the sound source driver processing are dispersedly and precedingly performed, throughputs Jd1 to Jd4 of the processing are never abruptly increased and the load of the waveform generating processing is reduced and also sufficient throughputs can be assigned to the waveform generating processing.
