Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound of the formula (R is aliphatic, aromatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon residue; X is H, 2-methyl-glycidoxy, N,N'-di-2-methylglycidylamino; p is 0, 1; q is 1W4; R2 is alkyl, alkenyl, aryl; r is 1, 2; s is 1W4; where when S is 1, r is 1 or 2; when X is 2-methylglycidoxy, p is 1 and r is 2).

EXAMPLE: N,N-Di-2-methylglycidyl-p-methylglycidoxybenzamide.

USE: Reactive diluent, crosslinking agent, epoxy reagent, resin modifier, epoxy resins for adhesives, components for coating, resins relating to electronic materials, composite materials and binders.

PREPARATION: An amide is made to react with a halogen-substituted compound in an aprotonic solvent in the presence of a strong base such as sodium hydroxide to give the compound of formula I .
