Title:
N-ACETYLGLUCOSAMINE SUGAR CHAIN-RECOGNIZING PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007001923
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an N-acetylglucosamine sugar chain-recognizing protein present in the smooth muscle cells, cardiac muscle cells and/or skeletal myoblast of blood vessel-damaged sites, to provide an easily producible drug delivery agent capable of specifically delivering a drug via the protein to such sites, and to provide a cationic resin-gene conjugate.

The protein is formed in such a way that a conjugated protein bound to an N-acetylglucosamine sugar chain group-containing compound added to extracted cells via the sugar chain group is extracted from the cells and the sugar chain group is then dissociated from the conjugated protein. The drug delivery agent and the cationic resin-gene conjugate have N-acetylglucosamines respectively, and each of them is formed by binding the protein in the cells to the N-acetylglucosamine.
