Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:N-[β-(N'-acetylamino)propionyl]histidineammonium salt shown by the formula.
USE: A remedy for peptic ulcer. The remedy has low toxicity and high safety. An oral dose is 500W5,000mg per day for an adult.
PROCESS: N-[β-(N'-acetylamino)propionyl]histidine is reacted with an aluminum alkoxide, e.g., aluminum isopropoxide, etc. in a solvent, e.g., water, isopropyl alcohol, etc. at room temperature to 80°C to give a DL- or L- derivative of N-[β- (N'-acetylamino)propionyl]histidineammonium salt shown by the formula.
