Title:
N-HYDROXYUREA DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3558154
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound, having two actions of inhibiting actions on a lipoxygenease and inhibiting actions on a thromboxane synthase and useful for treating and mitigating allergic diseases, etc.
SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I (one of R1 to R3 is 3-pyridyl, etc., and the others are H, a 1-8C alkyl, etc.; R4 is H or a lower alkyl; R5 is H, a lower alkyl, etc.; A is a bond, a 1-20C alkylene, etc.), e.g. N-hydroxy-N-[5-[1-(3-pyridylmethyl)indolyl]]methylurea. The compound represented by formula I is obtained by reacting an alcohol represented by formula II (Q is represented by formula III) with N,O-bis(tert-butoxycarbonyl) hydroxylamine under conditions of the Mitsunobu reaction, providing a compound represented by formula IV in which the N and O are protected, then hydrolyzing the resultant compound with an acid, affording a compound represented by formula V and further reacting the compound represented by formula V with trimethylsilyl isocyanate.
