NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is CF3, COOH or formula IV; R2 is H, Cl; CH3, COOCH3 or COOC2H5; Z is CH or N; X1 is CH3, OCH3 or Cl; X2 is CH3 or OCH3).
EXAMPLE: 2-[(4'6-Dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonylaminosulfonyl]-4-[2,2,2- triohloroethylidene)hydrazino]benzoic acid methyl ester.
USE: An active ingredient for herbicide. The compound expressed by formula I exhibits sure weeding effects in a low chemical amount and selectivity is exhibited between crops and weeds. Dicotyledonous weeds or monocotyledonous weeds in a crop such as wheat, rice, corn, soybean, beet or tomato are preferably controlled before or after germination.
PREPARATION: A novel 3-(substituted hydrozino)benzenesulfoneamide derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with a phenylcarbamate derivative expressed by formula III in an organic solvent in the presence of a base to provide the compound expressed by formula I.
