NEW MATERIAL: N-Substituted amides represented by formula I [wherein A is formula II, formula III (R is lower alkyl) or CO; R1 is H or lower alkyl; and R2 is 1-6C alkyl].
EXAMPLE: 3-(1,1-Diethoxy-2-hexanamideethyl)pyridine.
USE: An agent for preventing or treating hepatic diseases.
PREPARATION: The compd. of formula I is obtd. by a) acylating a mixture of compd. of formulas IV and V with a compd. of the formula (R3CO)2O or R2COX (X is halogen), the mixture being obtd. by reacting O-p-toluenesulfonyl-3- acetylpyridine oxime with a compd. of the formula MOR (M is alkali metal) and then subjecting to Never rearrangement with an acid such as hydrochloric acid, b) acylating a compd. of formula VI similarly to the above method, the compd. being obtd. by reacting 3-(2-halogenoacetyl)pyridine with an amine of formula R1NH2, or c) reacting a compd. of formula VII with thiosemicarbazide.
