Abstract:
To provide a method of producing an N-unsubstituted carbamate capable of reducing generation of a by-product, the N-unsubstituted carbamate obtained by the production method, a production method for an isocyanate of producing the isocyanate using the N-unsubstituted carbamate, and the isocyanate obtained by the production method for the isocyanate.
The N-unsubstituted carbamate is produced by reacting urea with an alcohol in the presence of a compound containing a non-coordinating anion and a metal atom, an urethane compound is produced by reacting the N-unsubstituted carbamate with a primary amine, and the isocyanate is produced by decomposing thermally the obtained urethane compound.
