Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an N-vinyllactam-based copolymer capable of imparting good hygroscopicity and mechanical strength to polyester.SOLUTION: The N-vinyllactam-based copolymer is provided which contains a structural unit (a) derived from N-vinyllactam and a structural unit (b) derived from a monomer represented by general formula (1), and in which a molar ratio (structural unit (a): structural unit (b)) of the structural unit (a) and the structural unit (b) each contained in the copolymer is 70:30 to 99:1. A resin composition is also provided which contains polyester and a cyclic N-vinyllactam-based copolymer. In general formula (1), Ris H or a methyl group; Ris a single bond, a CHgroup or a CHCHgroup; and X and Y is a hydroxyl group or a C1-10 alkoxy group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
