Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing an N-vinylcarbazole copolymer retardation film whose coloring and odor are remarkably suppressed, and to provide the N-vinylcarbazole copolymer retardation film whose coloring and odor are remarkably suppressed.
The method for manufacturing the N-vinylcarbazole copolymer retardation film includes steps of: composing N-vinylcarbazole from carbazole with a purity of 99.0 mass% or more; copolymerizing a monomer group containing 1-15 mass% N-vinylcarbazole and 85-99 mass% (meth)acrylate-based monomer; and heat-molding the obtained copolymer into film shape.
