PURPOSE: To display a printer to be connected on a screen as a visual stereoscopic image by controlling the simulated operation display state of a virtual printer displayed on a host computer according to operation environment state information.
CONSTITUTION: A 1st acquisition means is connected to the host computer 100 through a two-way interface 13. A virtual printer control means (CPU 1) once obtaining the operation environment state information on the printer 1500 controls the simulated operation display state of the virtual printer displayed on the display screen CRT 10 of the host computer 100 according to the obtained information. When a 2nd acquisition means (CPU 14) obtains instruction information to the virtual printer from the host computer 100, a printer control means (CPU 14) matches and sets the operation environment state of the printer 1500. Consequently, the printer 1500 which is connected can be displayed by the virtual printer on the screen of the host computer 100 as the visual stereoscopic image.
