Title:
NOx DECOMPOSITION ELECTRODE, AND NOx CONCENTRATION MEASURING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003322634
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a reliable and long-life NOx decomposition electrode, and an NOx concentration measuring apparatus.

A detection electrode 42 comprises: a first cermet electrode layer 62 directly formed on a solid electrolyte 12d; and a second cermet electrode 64 formed on the first cermet electrode layer 62. In the first cermet electrode layer 62, the ratio of a Pt-Rh alloy to ZrO2 is set to the Pt-R alloy : ceramic constituent = 20:80-50:50 in terms of a volume ratio. Conversely, in the second cermet electrode 64, the ratio of the Pt-Rh alloy to ZrO2 is set to the Pt-Rh alloy : ceramic constituent = 60:40-50:50 in terms of the volume ratio. The occupying ratio of the Pt-Rh alloy in the first cermet electrode layer 62 is equal to ZrO2 or is lager than ZrO2, so that the adhesion force between a solid electrolyte layer 12d and the first cermet electrode layer 62 is enforced, thus solving the problem of peel-off of the detection electrode 42 from the solid electrolyte layer 12d.
