Abstract:

To reduce influence of S poisoning of an oxidation catalyst, and to reduce NOx without requiring difficult air ratio control.

An NOx treatment system of a boiler includes: a boiler 1 in which an oxygen concentration in exhaust gas is adjusted to a predetermined concentration higher than an oxygen concentration of a logical air ratio so that a concentration of carbon monoxide is substantially zero and nitrogen monoxide is included in the exhaust gas passed through an endothermic part 6 for absorbing heat from the exhaust gas generated by a burner 5; an oxidation catalyst 2 arranged on the downstream side of the endothermic part 6 to oxidize the nitrogen monoxide included in the exhaust gas to nitrogen dioxide in a state that the concentration of the carbon monoxide is substantially zero; an economizer 3 arranged on the downstream side of the oxidation catalyst 2 to dissolve the nitrogen dioxide into dew condensation water; and neutralization treatment means 4 for neutralizing nitric acid and nitrous acid generated by dissolution of the nitrogen dioxide by a neutralizer.
