To prevent clipped nails from being scattered.
A pair of members 2 and 7 are jointed to each other at one end via a jointing member 11, and both members 2 and 7 are formed to be relatively oscillatable around a jointed part as a fulcrum. Also, grooves 3 and 8 are formed on the opposed faces of the members 2 and 7, and cutting blades 4 and 9 are respectively laid on both sides of the grooves 3 and 8 at the preset angles. The members 2 and 7, when pressed at the other end, approach each other, and grooves 3 and 7 bite each other. Also, the cutting blades 4 and 9 bite each other, following the engagement of the grooves 3 and 8. A nail is placed on the cutting blades 4 and 9 of the members 2 and 7, and the members 2 and 7 are pressed to come close to each other. Thereafter, the blades 4 and 9 are made to bite each other. As a result. a notch is formed on the nail, depending on the biting degree of the blades 4 and 9. Then, a nail clipper 1 is made to advance along the nail with the members 2 and 7 pressed. A nail piece of the prescribed width and length is thereby cut off along the entire periphery of the nail.
