PURPOSE: To securely operate a nail shaft with nail bands arranged adjacently to each other so as to increase the charging capacity of a magazine by providing a transfer shuttle having a nail band separating element, which is movable in longitudinal direction of the magazine and operated during a backward motion by using the piston and rod of a feed cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer shuttle 1 having a nail band separating element 12 which is moved in the longitudinal direction of a magazine 11, operated during backward motion and, desirably, formed in wedge-shape is provided using the piston and rod 7 of a feed cylinder 6. Also, a feed element 3 is formed as a feed clamp for holding the separated nail band 5 on the side while the transfer shuttle 1 is moved forward. Thus the nail band 5 put on a stop surface 2 is held, at any time, by a spring action between the transfer shuttle 1 and the feed clamp 3, and moved forward together with the transfer shuttle 1.
