To provide a nail securing a surely waterproof condition at its portion passing through a waterproof material by winding burrs produced around a joint portion between the nail tip and the shank of the nail when forming the nail tip, on the peripheral face of the joint portion between the nail tip and the shank to eliminate a portion protruding outward from the outer diameter of the nail tip.
The nail 6 has a head 8 at one end of the shank 7 and the square-cone nail tip 9 at the other end. Burrs 12 produced around the joint portion between the nail tip 9 and the shank 7 when forming the nail tip 9 are wound on the peripheral face of the joint portion between the nail tip 9 and the shank 7 while being pressed and fastened in the peripheral direction of the shank 7, to form a ring portion 13.
