Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail that is hardly cracked even if it is driven and that can be driven from any directions of either an extremity end or a rear end of its shank.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a nail 1 that is driven into a wooden material through striking by a hammer featuring that an extremity end 3 of a shank part 2 is formed into a non-steepled shape. In order to make the extremity end 3 into the non-steepled shape, a flat surface crossing at a right angle with a longitudinal direction of the shank part 2 is formed. In addition, it is also applicable that a surface of the shank part ranging from a location near the striking part at the rear end of the shank part toward a direction of its extremity end is provided with a rough surface part composed of either several-turned helical or several stages of annular protrusions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
