PURPOSE: To provide a nail which can easily be adjusted in driving strength and surely hold a material by providing a stopper so as not to drive excessively deep, and providing an presser tongue piece extending from the head top and nearly perpendicular to the nail leg so as to more surely hold the material.

CONSTITUTION: This nail 11 is provided with a presser tongue piece 21 extending from the head top nearly perpendicular to the nail leg 23, and a stopper 22 for preventing driving over the fixed depth in the vicinity of the head top on the midway of the nail leg. A synthetic resin plate, what is called, a crossbeam vinyl chloride siding 13 is fitted to a furring strip 12 by the nail 11. A fixed room is provided between the tongue piece 21 and the synthetic resin plate by the stopper 22, and hence the presser tongue piece does not obstruct expansion/contraction of the synthetic resin plate.
