Abstract:
PURPOSE: To dissolve starting difficulty of an engine due to the effect of residual air by driving a fuel pump in the case of judging the stop state of the engine, opening a fuel injection valve after raising pressure in fuel piping, and exhausting residual air in the fuel piping.
CONSTITUTION: When residual air in fuel piping is removed, the process is executed following to an air vent control program stored in the memory card 31 of an air vent tool 30. Namely at first a diag-connector 34 on the air vent tool 30 side is connected to a diag-chuckconnector on the vehicle side. Then it is judged whether prescribed battery voltage is supplied to a microcomputer control part 32 or not, and in the case of YES, a fuel pump is driven through ECU on the vehicle side. Next it is judged whether a time for raising the fuel pressure in the fuel piping up to the prescribed pressure elapses or does not. In the case of NO, a pulse signal is output to a fuel injection valve, so as to exhaust residul air in the fuel piping.
