PURPOSE: To eliminate the influence on the positioning precision of the vehicle body component on the carriage by measuring the abrasion quantities of the wheels of the carriage.
CONSTITUTION: On a measurement stage S20, the abrasion quantities of the respective wheels of the carriage 3 are measured and the measurement data are written on an ID card attached to the carriage 3. On a positioning device switching stage S30, the data are read out of the ID card and the position of a location pin as a component positioning reference on the carriage 3 is corrected corresponding to the data. On a branch indication stage S40, it is judged from the abrasion quantity data of the ID card whether or not the carriage 3 can continuously be used and when not, the carriage 3 is sent to a carriage maintenance stage S50.
