Abstract:
PURPOSE: To supply sufficient lubricating oil to the contact face of a rocker arm with a roller and a cam even if the pressure of lubricating oil is low.
CONSTITUTION: An oil sump 8 is provided at the outlet of an oil jet hole 6 provided being connected to an oil passage 5 provided at a rocker shaft 1. When oil pressure is low, lubricating oil 7 is accumulated in the oil sump 8, and when a rocker arm 2 is oscillated, the lubricating oil 7 in the oil sump 8 overflows and runs to a roller 3.
