PURPOSE: To smoothly perform combing and piecing actions while suppressing the generation of noise, vibration, etc., without using a cam mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: A nipper frame 3 having a cushion plate 4 at the front part is placed above a combing cylinder 1 and a nipper shaft 11 is reciprocatively placed at the back of the combing cylinder 1 and under the nipper frame 3. The rear part of the nipper frame 3 is rotatably connected to the 2nd terminal of a nipper frame driving arm 12 and the 1st terminal of the arm 12 is fixed to the nipper shaft 11 in an integrally rotatable state. A quadric link mechanisms having supporting shafts 14, 15 placed above and below the nipper frame 3 is provided and the upper supporting shaft 14 is positioned behind the lower supporting shaft 15. The front part of the nipper frame 3 is rotatably pivoted to the follower link 19 of the quadric link mechanism and both ends of the follower link is connected to the supporting shafts 20, 21.
