PURPOSE: To easily peel the oils stocking to solids from their surfaces and to exhibit an excellent washing effect by immersing a wash stuck with hydrophobic materials into a water slurry of a washing material consisting of expanded graphite and maintaining the water slurry in a fluid state, thereby washing the wash.
CONSTITUTION: The water slurry of the washing material consisting of the expanded graphite is housed into a washing tank 1 and the wash 5 is suspended to the front end of a pendent rotating device 3. The pendent rotating device 3 is then lowered and a cap 11 is closed. The wash 5 is immersed into the water slurry of the washing material. A motor 24 is then driven to maintain the water slurry in the fluid state by stirring vanes 23 and a motor 31 is run to rotate the wash 5. As a result, the oil sticking to the wash 5 is absorbed by coming into contact with the expanded graphite. The washing of the wash 5 is thus executed. The expanded graphite in the washing tank 1 is separated to water by a means for separating solid from liquid after the end of the washing. The oil sticking to the expanded graphite is recovered by a method of, for example, executing a press treatment, etc.
