PURPOSE: To provide a high frequency electric power apparatus which is made compact, lightweight, low cost, and highly reliable and with which the loss of a semiconductor switch is lowered with simple circuit composition, regarding a high frequency electric power apparatus such as microwave ovens, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The electric power of a commercial electric power source 1 is converted by a semiconductor switch 30 controlled by a controlling means 17 and the converted electric power is supplied to a load 14 by an output part 16. Also, a first controlling terminal 31 to control the transistor work and a second controlling terminal 32 to control the thyrister work are installed in the semiconductor switch and the output pulses of the controlling means 17 are pulse-processed by a pulse processing circuit 33 having a delay means 34 and supplied to a first and a second controlling terminals from a first and a second output parts 35, 36 and thus switching work by which turning on-off can be done with low on-voltage.
