Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an alarm memo method using a timer reserving function, where a specified memo are videotaped through the use of a conventional video tape recorder which can execute the reservation function and the memo videotaped at the reservation time is displayed on the screen of a TV.
CONSTITUTION: A system is constituted by adding a system control integrated circuit(IC) where a function for controlling a subtitle display part OSD by a signal applied by a remote controller RE and for displaying a specified subtitle on the screen and a timer function are provided. A mode judgement routine L1 for judging whether or not the system control IC is in a mode capable of storing the specified alarm memo is executed and a time input routine L2 for setting the reservation time when the stored alarm memo is displayed in the alarm timer is executed. Data input process for inputting alarm memo data to be memod is executed, the step S17 of stand-by judgement for judging whether the alarm timer is in the stand-by state or not is executed and a display routine 15 for displaying the stored alarm memo during the reservation time is executed.
