Abstract:
PURPOSE:To keep mechanical safety in welded parts by making connection positions of each band-shaped member in contacting parts with a cylindrical member, within spacers to keep spaces between each fuel element in a fuel assembly for nuclear reactor, which contains a plurality of rod elements. CONSTITUTION:By using the completely same shaped spacers, it becomes possible to distinguish band members of different band materials (Zry-2 and Zry-4). A band member of the material Zry-2 and another band member of the material Zry-4 are shaped as shown in the figure A and the figure B, respectively. When both members are welded, welded positions of the Zry-2 band differ according to kinds of the bands as shown in the figure A, and therewith the band material, that is, the two different kinds of spacers can be distinguished by the welded positions of the Zry-4 band. By this means, since the band materials of the fuel spacers, the fuel spacers themselves and fuel assemblies can be easily distinguished from each other and weldings can be conducted very stably, mechanical stability of the welded parts are secured.
