PURPOSE: To provide a metal mask for printing cream solder and a method for attaching the mask to a frame.
CONSTITUTION: Holding parts 3 extended integrally from opposed sides of a metal mask 1 are provided, and many holes are laterally provided at the parts 3 to form tensile force buffers 4. When they are attached to a frame, they can be detachably fixed to the frame in a state that an extending tensile force is applied by a force of an elastic limit or less of the part 3. Elasticities of a surface direction and a thickness direction are obtained by the mask 1 itself, and adhesive properties of a flat surface of the mask 1 to a board are obtained. The mask can be stored separately from the frame by detachably attach it to the frame by using the elasticity, thereby providing easy storage and handling.
