Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate insertion of a piston into a cylinder at mounting the cylinder on a crankcase and improve mounting property of the cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: The cylinder of the two-cycle engine is constructed so that in the cylinder 12A to be fitted to a crankcase 13, the cylinder skirt 54 is extended on the crankcase side and a cutout part 60 for scavenging air passage is formed on the extreme end of the cylinder skirt 54. This cylinder skirt 54 is formed with a connecting part 61 to connect together the extreme end side of the cutout part 60 for the scavenging air passage in the circumferential direction in one body with the cylinder skirt.
