Abstract:
PURPOSE: To locate accurately respective members individually by inserting a dummy shaft longer than a gap between opposed sides of two holder members adjacent to each other into a member like a rocker arm to assemble a rocker arm unit.
CONSTITUTION: Rocker arm shafts 5L, 6L are inserted into respective bearing holes to exclude respective dummy shafts to a chuter. Next, first base plates of a fixed stand and pressure stand are adapted to move back, release the ends of the rocker arm shafts 5L, 6L out of notches in the pressure plates 99 and center end holders 95, 97 on the center axis in place of the pressure plates 99. Respective cam holders and an end holder 97 are further moved to the end holder 95 side so that both ends of the respective rocker arm shafts 5L, 6L are inserted into the bearing holes respectively.
