Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a packaging material of low hygroscopicity, significantly reduced in foaming troubles in its processing, excellent in transparency and flexural rigidity, thus suitable for packaging foods, etc., made from an ionomer composition of a specific ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: This packaging material having an infrared absorption peak near 1565cm-1 is made from an ionomer composition of an ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid copolymer containing both sodium and zinc as ion sources with the atom ratio Na/Zn of (1:1) to (3:1).
