PURPOSE: To provide an EGR device for an engine with a supercharger which is applicable not only for a variable capacity type engine but also for a typical supercharger contained engine.

CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas passages 2a-2f are devided into the fist group of exhaust gas passages 2a-2b and the second group of exhaust gas passages 2c-2f across the first EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) valve 10, an EGR passage 9 provided with the second EGR valve 8 having one end connected to the first group of the exhaust gas passages 2a, 2b. The EGR passage 9 with the reduced flow passage cross section has the other end connected to a suction passage 5 provided with a compressor 4b for a supercharger 4, where a control device 19 is provided to perform the opening control of the first EGR valve 10 and the opening/closing of the second EGR valve 8, depending on the operating condition of an engine.
