PURPOSE: To attain simply random access by recording a track number and address data for a recording reproduction area and a reproduction exclusive area onto the reproduction exclusive area altogether.

CONSTITUTION: Data such as a processing program not needing revision are recorded on a reproduction exclusive area 11 and it is formed by a stamper. Thus, even when a recording and reproducing device malfunctions on an optical disk 10, data recorded on the area 11 are not accidentally erased. Disk information such as a track number and address data of the disk 10 are recorded on the area 11, and desired data are simply accessed by accessing the area 11 of the disk 10 and accessing as required the recording and reproduction area. Thus, the disk is accessed at random simply and the disk with high capacity and high reliability is obtained.
