PURPOSE: To provide a small-size and simple traveling test device, satisfactorily support the weight of a rolling stock, effective prevent the wear of a metal belt, and substantially reproduce every traveling condition.
CONSTITUTION: A traveling test device for rolling stock has a driving drum 14, a driven drum 16, a metal belt 18 wound on these drums, a load supporting device 44 arranged between the two drums, and a support device 62 for supporting the two drums and the load supporting device 44. The driving drum 14 is rotated by an electric motor 60 supported by the supporting device 62 through a V-belt 70, and the load supporting device 44 blows out a high pressure fluid to the metal belt 18 through a small hole of rigid porous ceramics.
