PURPOSE: To enhance the air oxidation stability of a developing soln.
CONSTITUTION: A silver halide photographic sensitive material is processed with a developing soln. compsn. contg. at least one kind of compd. represented by general formula I or II. In the formula I, each of R1 and R2 is hydroxy, amino, etc., and X consists of carbon or nitrogen atoms and forms a 5-or 6-membered ring in combination with the two carbon atoms of vinyl having substd. R1 and R2 and the carbon atom of carbonyl. In the formula II, each of R3 and R4 is hydroxy, amino, etc., R3 and R4 are not simultaneously hydroxy and Y consists of carbon, oxygen or nitrogen atoms, has at least one ether bond and forms a 5-or 6-membered ring in combination with the two carbon atoms of vinyl having substd. R3 and R4 and the carbon atom of carbonyl.
