Abstract:
PURPOSE:To read a 2-color original without much increase in a data quantity of a picture data. CONSTITUTION:When a ratio of R, G, B digital multi-value data read by a read circuit 1 is discriminated to be a monochromatic ratio by a color ratio analysis circuit 2, a binarizing data control circuit 3 outputs a digital multi-value data based on R, G, B data to be read to a monochromatic binarizing circuit 4 and outputs a digital multi-value data representing a white level to a color binarizing circuit 5. When it is discriminated that a ratio of the read digital multi-value data is a ratio other than a monochromatic ratio, the binarizing data control circuit 3 outputs the digital multi-value data representing a white level to the monochromatic binarizing circuit 4 and the digital multi-value data based on the read R, G, B data to the color binarizing circuit 5. Then the sum of the binary data outputted from the monochromatic binarizing circuit 4 and the color binarizing circuit 5 is outputted as a 2-color data.
