Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten transfer time and to reduce buffer capacity in data transfer of DKU(disk device)→buffer in DKC(disk controller) →CPU(central processing unit).

CONSTITUTION: A record 10 to be transferred is divided into data of fixed length(for example, 128 bites) 11-16, and they are transferred from the DKU to the DKU buffer in bit series at first speed. The data transfer DKU→CPU is started on the way of the transfer DKU→DKC at every fixed data length, and it is performed at second speed faster than the first speed. The start point of the transfer DKU→CPU of respective fixed data length is decided so as to make its completion point coincide with the completion point of the transfer DKU→DKC. The transfer time of one record can be finished transfer DKU→DKC, which enables the buffer capacity to be enough only for the portion of fixed data length.
