Abstract:
PURPOSE: To short-circuit a conductor pad automatically when a printed circuit board is removed from an edge connector by arranging an ESD protector on a printed circuit board plane. CONSTITUTION: A printed board 12 has a tongue part 16 defining printed circuit board planes 18, 20 arranged on the opposite sides. The printed board 12 comprises a plurality of conductor pads 22, 24 arranged at an interval on the opposite printed circuit board planes 18, 20 along the edge of the tongue part 16. ESD protectors 38, 40 are arranged on the opposite printed circuit board planes 18, 20 and only a plurality of conductor pads 22, 24 arranged on the printed circuit board planes 18, 20 are short-circuited collectively. The ESD protectors 38, 40 comprise hinge structures 46, 48 fixed to the tongue part 16, and conductor bars 42, 44 fixed to the hinge structures 46, 48. The hinge structures 46, 48 have cantilever arm parts 54, 56 extending from base parts 50, 52 fixed to the printed circuit board planes 18, 20.
