PURPOSE: To provide such a two-component magnetic developer toner containing no charge controlling agent (CCA-less) that the toner is excellent in spent resistance, the life of the toner and the carrier can be extended, the toner contains no transferrable charge controlling agent, and the apparent development sentivity can be increased without splashing of the toner during development, and further, to provide a CCA-less two-component magnetic developer with which transfer from the surface of a photosensitive body to a paper sheet can be efficiently done although no transferrable charge controlling agent is incorporated.
CONSTITUTION: A copolymer resin or resin compsn. having anionic polar groups is used as a fixing resin medium. The toner contains a 0.1-5 pts.wt. of magnetic powder to 100 pts.wt. of the resin medium. This toner is prepared in such a manner that an extract of the toner with methanol shows substantially no absorptivity at absorption peaks of 400-700nm and 280 to 350nm. Further, a fluidity improving agent to be externally added to the toner contains spacer particles having 0.05-1μm particle size.
