PURPOSE: To provide the tampon, which can reduce resistance in the case of insertion and can easily be inserted without the sense of incompatibility, and the manufacture of the tampon.

CONSTITUTION: A tampon 1 and the manufacture are provided with a cylindrical film 6 housing an absorbing body 2, external cylinder 3 communicated to the cylindrical film 6, and internal cylinder 4 constituted so as to be inserted in the external cylinder 3 and for this tampon 1, a fine hole is formed along the axial core of the internal cylinder 4 and used as a route for pulling-out a take- out string 5 of the absorbing body 2 from the inside of the external cylinder 3 to the base terminal of the internal cylinder 4. Then, an opening part 4B is provided at the head of the internal cylinder 4, and the absorbing body 2 is separatably integrated to this opening part 4B.
