PURPOSE: To provide a hose clamp with an ear-like structure that is capable of selecting its strength to achieve desired holding ability and/or re-clamping force as needed.

CONSTITUTION: Complementary ear-like structures 12a, 12b are provided in overlapping inner and outer band portions 11a, 11b. Free end portions of the inner and outer band portions are connected with corresponding over-lapped belt portions. In addition or in the alternative, the ear-like structures are strengthened by external and/or internal strengthening members made of spring steel having predetermined spring characteristics. Therefore, in a particular embodiment, the strengthening member can easily be mounted on and dismounted from the ear-like structure by inserting and removing pin-like holding members.
