Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain superior speech quality even under a high noise without generating howling or interrupting speech.
CONSTITUTION: An ambient noise is detected by a noise detection circuit 15 to which output from a microphone 1 is supplied. The frequency characteristic of a reception filter circuit 16 can be varied based on a result detected by the noise detection circuit 15. Such frequency characteristic emphasizes a low- pass frequency component under a high ambient noise, and a voice from a speech opponent is reproduced by a speaker 9. Also, low-pass emphasis can be applied to a transmission signal.
