Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect the position with a small error.
CONSTITUTION: A slit plate 110 is interlocked with a measuring object in the first dimension, and slits 112a, 112b, 112c... are formed at each equal distance P. Photodiodes 140a-140h of a photodetector detect the light passing through the slits. An LED 120 is a light emitting source approximately as small as a point source and set on the vertical line in the vicinity of the center of the photodiodes 140a-140h. A signal processing circuit 150 generates output pulses VA, VB from the detecting outputs IA-ID of the photodiodes 140a-140c, 140d.
