PURPOSE: To obtain the simple level in which the bottom of a space formed in a level body in a recess spherical surface, and a sphere is disposed in the bottom without using alcohol for observing whether it is horizontal or not according to the position of the sphere.
CONSTITUTION: A bottom cover 14 of transparent glass formed on a recess spherical surface is adhered to a bottom of a case body 12 formed in a cylindrical state, and a ball 16 formed of metal, ceramics or plastic is disposed in a spherical part 14a of the cover 14. An upper cover 18 of transparent glass is adhered to an upper part of the body 12 to seal a rolling space 20 of the ball 16. According to this level 10, whether it is horizontal or not according to the position of the ball 16 can be observed from above the cover 18 or from below the cover 14.
