Title:
OVERHEATING PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT FOR SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0713643
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an overheating protective circuit for not outputting interruption signals even when the malfunction of an interruption circuit is generated when a heat radiating effect drops and a power source is turned ON and OFF under high temperature conditions.

CONSTITUTION: A temperature monitoring circuit 1 for detecting temperature inside an IC is provided and is connected to the interruption circuit 2 for stopping the operation of a main circuit inside the IC. An output terminal Y is provided in the interruption circuit 2 and to which a power source reset circuit 3 is connected. Thus, the overheating protective circuit which is not turned to an interruption state by the malfunction of the interruption circuit 2 can be obtained, a phenomenon that the interruption state becomes impossible to be cancelled due to temperature hysterisis characteristics provided in the interruption circuit 2 is dissolved and the stably operated overheating protective circuit can be obtained.
