Abstract:
PURPOSE: To achieve improvement in workability and a reduction in cost by sending warm air to an image carrier and controlling the temperature of a photosensitive body.
CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive drum 1 (image carrier) is heated by sending warm air to a corona discharger 2 (discharge means) from a blower fan 3 (blowing means) via a heating element 21. Exhaustion is carried out by a suction fan 13 through ducts 121, 122 and 123. The temperature of the photosensitive drum 1 is adjusted by turning on/off the blower fan 3 and the suction fan 13. Since a heat source is apart from the photosensitive drum 1 and heats it with warm air, irregularities in temperature do not occur. Only the photosensitive drum 1 can be attached and detached.
